50 Cent Talks About The Nicki Minaj & Lil Kim Beef

Tuesday, February 1, 20110 comments

Recently, in an interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45’s G-Unit Saturdays radio show, 50 Cent addressed the beef between hip-hop’s newest leading lady Nicki Minaj and the legendary rapstress Lil Kim, explaining that feud has died down considerably since 2010 when the ladies spent the later part of year taking jabs at each other.

“When I look at them actually competing, I don't see anything,” the G-Unit Records founder said of the quarrel, which came to a head last November when Lil Kim released a Minaj-focused diss track called Black Friday, mere days after the Young Money emcee debuted her own solo album Pink Friday.

“I think it's harmless. It adds an interesting story and other interests to them, because Kim is the original, I believe, and Nicki is the right now,” 50 continued, later joking that he never wanted to be caught in the middle of the tiff regardless of the fact that, like himself, Minaj is from hometown borough, yet he famously worked with Kim on Magic Stick years ago.

“How do you get in the middle of a girl fight?" he laughed.

Still, last week Lil Kim announced that her newest mixtape, which is scheduled to drop on Valentine’s Day, will also be called Black Friday, prompting fans to raise eyebrows worldwide.
