R&B singer, Keyshia Cole, and long-time boyfriend and Cleveland Cavaliers player, Daniel Gibson, made it official on Saturday (May 21) in Cleveland.
The two confirmed their marriage via Twitter a few hours after, saying, “I Do”. Gibson released pictures of the wedding via Twitter for everyone to see, saying, “Just like I Promised… Me & @keyshiacole Couple Wedding Pics!!! The Gibson Family #Luv Enjoy.”
The wedding came as no surprise since 25-year-old Gibson proposed to Keyshia Cole two months after the birth of their son, Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr. last March; however, nobody expected them to have a private wedding. Unlike most celebs, the couple elected to keep it secret until after the ceremony only allowing their family to witness the nuptials.
The two celebrated their impending wedding in Vegas this weekend before flying back to Cleveland for the ceremony. Keyshia Cole wanted an extravagant wedding on a private island with waterfalls, but she settled for a quaint ceremony since their schedules conflicted.
The singer is currently touring with R. Kelly and Marsha Ambrosius and will wrap up on July 3 in Philadelphia.
The past year has been a whirlwind for both Cole and Gibson. The two celebrated the birth of their first child, 29-year-old Cole released her fourth album Calling All Hearts while Gibson had a breakout season for the Cavaliers.
Nothing could top their excitement over their wedding however.
“I've come so far as [an] entertainer, Wife, Mother. God has been so good 2 me.. it just amazes me at times,” said Cole.
While Gibson tweeted, “Always & Forever!! It's just like a dream to Me.. @keyshiacole Moments you live for.”
The couple plans on having a bigger ceremony once Cole’s tour ends in July.
