Its not secret that most hip hop artist go and ball out on Jewelry, but it is also no secret that a certain pair of bracelets seem to hunt many of our hip hop artist. For what ever reason, Rappers and Jail go hand in hand and 2012 proved to be no different then any other year in Hip Hop. Here is a list of some of the rappers that had run in's with the law this year.
Gunplay Arrested For Robbery & Weapons Possession
MMG/Def Jam rapper Gunplay got an ass whooping then arrested. While at this years BET Awards the Miami rapper was involved in a fight with 50 Cents security, which resulted in Gunplay being jumped and the snatching of his MMG pendant.Gunplay was not arrested for the fight, brought attention to his 2008 warrant for robbery. Back in 2008 Gunplay was caught on camera robbing his accountant at gun point in the accountants office.
Gunplay surrendered his self to Miami Police and now is facing as life in prison!
It's hard out here for a pimp! Last month DJ Paul who is a member of the Legendary rap group "Three 6 Mafia" was arrested in New York. Paul Beauregard had just purchased a beer from a corner deli before taking off walking. Paul had the beer covered by a brown bag, but was stopped by police anyway.
Upon being stopped, Paul informed the police that he was carrying a taser. The police frisked DJ Paul and handed the taser to his partner. His dumb ass partner accidentally discharged the taser.
Paul was charged with misdemeanor possession of a weapon and carrying an open container in public, but was later released.
Meek Mill Arrested For Nothing
While in his Home city "Philadelphia" doing promo for his album he dropped the day before, Meek was arrested by The Philly Police while riding in a car. Meek was later charged with nothing and released.Meek was supposed to perform in Atlanta at the "Mansion Elan" which was covered with Gangsta Disciple gang members. Rumors are stated that Meek may have not shown up to the performance due to the hit that The Gangsta Disciple's put out on Rick Ross.
Deongelo Holmes a.k.a. D-Roc is one half of the hip-hop duo the Ying Yang Twins who have had hits such as "Salt Shaker" and The "Whisper" song.
On June 1, 2012 D-Roc was pulled over after he was allegedly spotted by officers swerving in and out of his lane.
Once police pulled D-Roc over Marijuana and Xanax were found in the truck. Along with the drugs, a 3-year old and 2-month old were in the backseat of his 2002 GMC Yukon Denali.
After failing a field sobriety test, D-Roc was taken into custody and later released after posting $13,500 bond. According to TMZ, this isn't Holmes’ first DUI, it's his third!
Beanie Sigel Arrested For Gun Possession
It's 3:15am Wednesday August 29 and Gerald Andrews is driving southbound On I-95 in Tinicum Township, Delaware County. Rapper Beanie Sigel is riding shut gun and is already scheduled to start a 2 year bid for tax evasion.
Police stop their car after Andrews was said to be "swerving" and following cars to close. When a check of the car was conducted, $4,600 in cash, a firearm, along with a bottle of codeine syrup with a scratched off label were found.
Both Sigel and Andrews are convicted felons and are not allowed to possess a firearm. Sigel and Andrews were transported to the
Pennsylvania State Police Media barracks to be processed and arraigned.
Juvenile arrested after Hotel Fight
It was supposed to be a night for YMCMB history as Lil Wayne and Juvenile took the stage for the first time since the hot boys break up.
While details were never really clear, after the performance police were called to the Miami Nightclub and Juvenile was arrested for disorderly conduct. he was held on a $500 bond.
The former Hot Boy member swears that the fight had nothing to do with Lil Wayne or their past beef.
Nelly Arrested For Possession Of Drugs And Guns
Nelly had a brief run in with the Texas Boarder police after they stopped his bus and discovered guns, heroin and 10 pounds of marijuana.
Damn this nigga Nelly thinks he Big Meech! But not to worry, Nelly was released after a member of his crew took the rap for the drugs and guns.
Webbie Arrested For Battery and Robbery
The "Gimme That" Rapper was arrested September 13 after being accused of kicking a woman down some stairs and robbing her of $340.
According to a police report filed in Baton Rouge, LA, Webbie is accused of attacking a woman inside a Chase Suite Hotel early that morning after being banned from the premises -- kicking her down two sets of stairs before swiping her purse and stealing $340 in cash.
Webbie denied he did rob her, he says it was his money and she robbed him.
Young Buck Goes To Prison For Gun Possession
Ex G Unit member Young buck started serving an 18 month prison sentence, steaming from a 2010 IRS raid of his house, when a gun was found.
Leading up to him going in prison Buck was hit with a 11 million dollar bill from unpaid taxes. If that was not bad enough, 50 hit him with a 10 million dollar law suit over past G unit business.
The IRS seized everything from buck and auction all his shit off! Buck is currently in prison and expected to be home in February of 2014
Lil Scrappy Arrested Over Probation Violation
In September of this year news spread that ATL rapper Lil Scrappy was locked up in Georgia. Details were not clear, but later it was found out that Scrappy was locked up over a probation ViolationScrappy is on probation from a 2008 marijuana possession case. 2 weeks before Scrappy was locked up, he was supposed to report to his probation officer, but fail to report.
Flavor Flav Arrested For Assault With A Deadly Weapon
Last month your favorite dating show reality star / hype man Flavor Flav was arrested and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic violence (battery).
Word is that Flav got into a heated argument with his Fiance and her teenager son. Police reports state that Flav assaulted the mother then threatening the son with the knife.
