Mixtape Review: Curren$y "Priest Andretti"

Who ever said Stoners are lazy must not have seen weed friendly rapper Curren$y's work ethic, Spitta stay putting out new music. On Halloween Spitta dropped "Priest Andretti" which is a 14 track mixtape of new music.

On "Contacts" you would think Spitta is talking about contact from his sticky, but really he is talking about getting a contact high from his money. Over a smoothed out beat Curren$y spits how he got no time for these bitches, cause all he see is money. Remember kids "Money Over Bitches".
Spitta keeps the big dollar flow as we enter "Money Machine 2". The beat is a little basic but it fits the vibe of the mixtape so far.

"Max Julian" is a warning for all you broke bitches, don't waste your time with Spitta. Curren$y uses this track to let us really know how he feels about a broke hoe and as he calls them "Boss Bitches". The 70s like beat continues the overall vibe of the mixtape.

"Motion" has more of an up tempo beat, well up tempo for a Stoner. This is a track where Spitta brags about his money, clothes, and cars. “Feelin Like” is where Spitta talks to the haters and warns them to worry less about him and more about getting money... also he is feeling like every bitch want him.

Spitta and some yelling nigga which out later found out was No Limit rapper“Fiend” take a “Trip To London”, but they should have stayed the fuck home. The beat is whack and Fiend yelling over it gives you a headache. “Stainless” makes up for the track we were forced to listen to before. The beat gets the mixtape back on track and gets your head knocking a little bit. In the Stainless track Spitta talks about how he is pretty much hater proof cause he is “way to real”.

Curren$y parks his whip and jumps out so he can talk his shit. On “Talk My Shit” Spitta goes through how he turn these hoes out and have them buying him shit, like a real pimp.

Is that humming birds? Slowing it down even more, on “Payroll” Spitta lets us know “he never got payed, to give a fuck”. I’m not sure why that really matters, but fuck it... Spark another one. Curren$y’s lyrics of having “2much” money are drowned out by the heave pianos.

You can catch Noreaga and Styples P on “Boss Dealings” where they chant a version of the famous line from Katt Williams “If you not getting high, I don't know what you doing with your life”. “Cleopatra Zones” continues the 70s vibe of the mixtape as Spitta lets us know again how much Money he has and what he does with it... Nigga said he got so much money he bought the same car twice, sounds to me like you go played nigga.

We round out the mixtape with the last 2 tracks “For Seasons” & “Light Snax” both fit good with the overall vibe of the mixtape.

If your not a Curren$y fan you won’t be after listening to “Priest Andretti”. I understand this mixtape was put out by Spitta to hold his fans over til his mixtape with Wiz drops. But the beats seem to be basic and besides Weed... this nigga dont talk about shit! Im giving this mixtape 2 out 5 stars.
