Stevie Wonder Calls Frank Ocean "Misguided & Confused"

Just when you thought Frank Ocean's personal preference wasn't a topic of discussion anymore, Stevie Wonder has inserted his opinion. The legendary singer was interviewed by the The Guardian, and when asked about his influence on fellow crooner, Ocean, he said “Yeah, I like Frank.”

Unfortunately, that was the end of the praise, because he went on to brand people interested in same s-x relationships as misguided. “I think honestly, some people who think they're gay, they're confused,” he continued. “People can misconstrue closeness for love. People can feel connected, they bond. I'm not saying all [gay people are confused]. Some people have a desire to be with the same s-x. But that's them.”
Ocean's admission to falling in love with another man at the age of 19 came days before the release of his Channel Orange debut. The announcement catapulted him into the national spotlight.

In July, the 24-year-old told The Guardian that coming out was “about my own sanity and my ability to feel like I'm living a life where I'm happy when I wake up in the morning, and not with this freakin' boulder on my chest.”

The New Orleans native also provided an answer for any negative backlash that he may receive. “People are just afraid of things too much,” he said. “Sure, evil exists, extremism exists. Somebody could commit a hate crime and hurt me. But they could do the same just because I'm black. They could do the same just because I'm American.”
