Lupe Fiasco Makes Peace With Chief Keef

Lupe Fiasco is not about beef, he's about making amends. The Chicago native and youngster, Chief Keef, have had a storied dialogue on Twitter, but Fiasco still has love for the teenager.

Keef is one of many artists that the “B-tch Bad” rapper has spoken on in recent weeks, and while he was critical of the music and the violent, degrading, and sometimes remedial nature that some of it represents, there is a method behind his madness. “I'm far from where I wanna be, I'm far from being a stand-up human being,” Fiasco said during a performance posted on Fake Shore Drive.

“I'm far from being a knowledgeable and wise young man as well. I'm somewhere in the middle. I ain't no saint either, but with said, I love my brother. I want to see him succeed and do his thing, and that goes for everybody everywhere, anywhere in the world. Shout out to the big homie Chief Keef.”

Following the success of his “I Don't Like” single, Keef snagged himself a deal with Interscope Records but has made more headlines for showing his youth, than putting out any new music. His most recent misstep was tweeting jokes about the shooting death of fellow Windy City rapper, Joseph “Lil JoJo”Coleman.

Police in Chicago opened an investigation into the posts on the social networking site to determine whether or not Keef had any roll in JoJo's death.

In the aftermath, Keef claimed to have been hacked, and took a break from Twitter. His grandmother did her part by defending him, announcing that he had no involvement in the murder, and has never belonged to a gang.
