On Friday, a judge awarded R&B singer Usher Raymond primary custody of Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond, the two sons he had with ex-wife Tameka Foster Raymond.
The surprising verdict marked the end of a bitter dispute in which both sides made public accusations. Tameka claimed that Usher's drug use prevented him from being an adequate father, while he accused her of being inattentive and irresponsible. The case was complicated in July, when one of Tameka's sons from her previous marriage was fatally injured in a jet ski accident in Georgia.
Usher's ex-wife responded to the verdict via Twitter Friday afternoon, writing, "Money can buy many things... But in the end. Truth & goodness will prevail. I must continue to believe this. Stand firm."
