"Flat out, I don’t like New York," the rapper said. "The whole Summer Jam Nicki thing, I can't really remember the situation, but I know it was my call. As far as last week [Nicki's show], last week was awesome. I think everything happens for a reason, and I think when people say that, you’re not supposed to leave it at, 'Everything happens for a reason.' I believe everything happens for a reason and then you make the most of that reason. I think we made the most of it last week."
The rapper has gone through a lot on NYC territory, including an arrest on gun charges, he eventually served an eight month sentence in NY's Rikers Island jail in 2010, and pulling the Summer Jam drama. While Weezy feels he made the best out of Nicki's situation, the Louisiana rapper isn't holding any punches over his true sentiments for hip hop's original city. Hopefully the love he received from fans at last week's show will begin to sway his feelings.

Lil Wayne only respects himself. His true dislike of NY is solely based on the fact that, no matter how hard he tries he will never be better than his idol Jay Z! Even if he doesn't really like the city, he just put a big dent in his NY fan base but his
Just cause he doesn't like NY doesn't mean he doesn't respect it!!!!!! I think he's referring to the political side of NY, not the people & what they have done for the advancement of hip-hop!!!!
Lil wayne dont hate ny he sweats ny..his whole life is based on jocking nyc.he wanted to dress talk wear clothes and rap like ny..only thing wayne hates about ny is that he isnt from ny..stop biting ny sonshine
NY shows Wayne lots of love do its disrespectful to actually express your hate towards the city that has accepted him and Young Money.
Any how his music is so repetitive that I can predict his next single. So F' you lil Wayne- I don't like you either and won't spend another dime on your shit. I ready for some new lyrics...
