Seems like everybody wanna start with Meek Mill, at least this week. Following some controversy, sparked by a debate with a Philadelphia pastor over some of his lyrics, the MMG rapper recently got into it with hometown rap peer Cassidy.
According to ThisIs50.com, Meek went at Cassidy on Twitter Thursday evening (July 12), after Cas retweeted some comments from followers asking him why the two had not recorded together since Meek broke out nationally through Maybach Music.
“RT @illuminlester “How come when @MeekMill got put on mmg he aint do nothin wit @CASSIDY_LARSINY ? They my 2 favorite rappers,” said one follower.
RT @santeezy419 “@CASSIDY_LARSINY & @MeekMill went way back. They used to freestyle together. Now it seems like meek doesn’t even know who #dahustla is,” another added.
From there, Meek either saw or was told about the tweets, and fired a shot back at Cass.
“U on some clown sh*t right now,” Meek wrote (@MeekMill). “Just say it 2 my face… I’m always home…
“Yo @CASSIDY_LARSINY yall b getting beside y’all self with this send button dont confuse this twitter wit real life… #hating,” he added.
Cassidy never replied directly to Meek about the comments, at least not publicly.
Meek’s tweets has since deleted, but they still appear in Twitter’s search function.
Friday morning (July 13), the MMG rapper followed up, writing: “Everyday I wake up somebody got a problem wit meek!”
