While filming his Mountain Dew series "The Evolution of DEWeezy", Wayne hooked up with some X Games athletes who he brought on stage during a performance. They returned the favor and had Weezy attend this year's X Games.
He then jumped online and engaged in a chat with fans. During the impromptu Q&A session, a fan asked if he would be releasing Tha Carter V, and Wayne said it should come out next year, (from HipHopNMore) "[Tha] Carter 5 will come most likely next year".
Another fan expressed interest in seeing Lil Wayne collaborate with Eminem again, and he responded with "I will". These may not be the most concrete confirmations, but it is the first fans have heard Wayne talk about recording the fifth instalment in Tha Carter series.
