Juelz Santana Speaks To Angie Martinez About His Arrest!

In an update to a previous story, rapper Juelz Santana spoke about his recent arrest and release to Angie Martinez of Hot 97. The rap star mentioned he was arrested on firearm possession and distribution of marijuana charges but plans to fight all of that.  Juelz had plenty more to say on the call, as well.

According to the audio clip from Grinding 101, Juelz spoke with Hot 97 DJ Angie Martinez about the situation and his thoughts on it all. Santana said he wasn't even in the studio when it was raided, and the idea "he's selling dimebags of weed is a joke."  He added there was a warrant on his arrest last week, and he had the money on him for bail, but there was some sort of problem with the computers, due to an ice storm.

As for being taken into custody, Juelz said he got a lot of love, once he put on the orange suit and stepped into the jail.  By "love" he meant respect from inmates, knowing who he was, not the cellmate type of love. Luckily, he's on the outside now, as Juelz said he's claustrophobic.

Juelz is going after the police in this matter, too. He said he plans to fight the charges against him and noted that "Jersey police don't get as much action as New York police." The rapper said they didn't have anything on him, and he doesn't know everything that happens at his studio.

It's good news for Juelz Santana and his fans that he is out free now and can get back to making music. However, other rap stars, including Lil Wayne did a good job of selling music even behind bars. Still, you've got to believe Wayne and Juelz prefer the good life on the outside.
