Finally, the most anticipated Dr. Dre album ever, Detox has a new release date of April 1, 2011. Some fans remain skeptical, since that also happens to be April Fool’s Day. The album’s original release date was slated for fall of 2005, an album that Dr. Dre has been working on since as far back as 2003.
When asked about Detox, 50 Cent stated, “He’s working on it. I've recorded two songs for him. He's such a perfectionist.” Classic Grammy winning Dr. Dre albums, The Chronic and Dr. Dre Presents The Aftermath remain staples in Hip-Hop music.
Dre is in high demand, being that he’s a legendary producer and rapper, who has worked with a countless number of music artists. Some fans may presume that because he has been so involved with producing hits for other artists such as Eminem, The Game and 50 Cent, that Detox had to temporarily be placed on hold.
Fans know what to expect of Dr. Dre and more than likely, it will be well worth the wait. Hopefully, there will be at least one leaked song to tide fans over until the album drops. Perhaps that will help to minimize the brewing speculations as to whether the newly announced release date is fact or fiction. (YRM)
