Birdman confirms he is actively pursuing to sign Rick Ross

Cash Money Records' Baby a.k.a. Birdman has confirmed speculation suggesting he is actively pursuing an opportunity to sign Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group.

 

Although brief with his remarks, Baby said discussions are taking place.

"We in talks right now," Baby said in an interview. "If we do or if we don't that's still my partner, and one day in life we will, if time means now and if time means later, we will...That's my friend first of all, that's my partner [and] that's my homie. I have a lot of respect for Ross and what he's trying to do." (XXL Mag)

Ricky Rozay is also being courted by the music industry's bosses for MMG. Inside sources have said the players include: Jay-Z's Roc Nation/Sony; Lyor Cohen and the good folks at Warner;  Diddy and [Jimmy] Iovine at Interscope.
