“Rap that feeds the Soul” by. Lady Salt

Sitting here listening to some of the hardest verses from a developing new artist J.Cole. Lyrics are hair raising on his song “Autograph”, this song is real food for thought. Between this artist four mix tapes that has potential of being albums, “The Come Up“,“ The Warm Up”, “Roc Nation”, “Friday Night Lights”, how can you choose which one is his best? This artist has defiantly displayed that he is no “ONE HIT WONDER”. As I vibe to the flows, I can’t help but, wonder when will this mastermind drop an album, because no one wants to be known as a mix tape artist. I really believe in artist building a foundation and then dropping the sickest album known to man.

 Who’s bigger then Big Sean? Mr. Finally Famous is so correct. Not only does his music give me goose bumps but, blood rushing excitement. Most people may not understand were this young lyrical genius has came from. Sean made a great impression on Kanye West with sixteen bars that he spit, as he was walking out a radio station from an interview. Who would have know two years later he would sign to Kanye’s label Good Music. We are looking forward to his album coming out this year. He has already stolen the souls of Hip Hop with his mix tapes “Finally Famous Vol I, II, and III”. One of his songs “Made” feat. Drake is already ground breaking in the game. In this song he expresses how he has stepped in the game and receives so many props but, he feels like he hasn’t even begun the real hustle of making it yet. Now an artist like that you can respect there’s not too much to hate on.
   
    Now a days Hip Hop or just plain music has changed. Not to many artist rap or sing about there real struggle with lyrics you can connect with from beginning to end. What happen to the industry when it just wasn’t about the albums sale but, about how many fans you can touch with just a chorus or a sixteen bar flow. There are too many one hit wonders, yeah they come out with club banging songs, but how long can they really last in this fast pace industry. It doesn’t take long to become irrelevant to the game were people don’t listen to your music or you become a “Has Been”. So go out and support the artist I mention because they really have quality music to share
