It may comes as surprising, but the former Nickelodeon star, Nick Cannon, has announced he'll be playing the role of Freeway Rick Ross in an upcoming film about the drug kingpin.
The two appeared in a video announcement sharing the news, and apparently the real Rick Ross has wanted Nick to play him since 1996. "I’ve been wanting him to play my role since ’96," Freeway said. "We got hooked up, I met him I love his personality, know what I’m saying?"
Nick Cannon added, "We family now, we are going to get this thing right. However long it takes, his story has got to be told."
Apart from Ross and Cannon's announcement, there are not many details on the biopic. The writer for the film is appropriately enough, the writer of "Blow," Nick Cassavetes.
